I started Crossfit at the end of April 2012. I received a text from my mom asking if I would like to try a Crossfit training camp with her. Before I could ask her, "What is Crossfit?" she told me, ‘too late’. She signed me up and I have never looked back.
I have had various memberships to gyms in the past, but nothing grabbed my interest. I worked out and tried diets but wasn't seeing the results I was hoping for. With my little results, I wasn't happy to go to the gym or give up on foods. I wanted better but didn't know how to achieve it or find the discipline to stick with the work to achieve it.
Since starting Crossfit I have lost about 25 pounds as well as inches around my waist and hips. I used to dread going to the gym, and now I look forward to my time at Crossfit. I even gave changing my diet another try and did a whole 30 challenge that makes me reconsider some of my food choices now.
I continue to work on myself, and with the excellent coaching staff provided by Crossfit Forest I am getting closer to my goal than I have ever been. The motivations they give, as well as from my fellow athletes provide, keeps me going onward to achieve something that use to seem so far.
