2013 December 19th Nutrtion Seminar - 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

2014 Year of Health, Whole365

Sandy and I are going for it. One entire year of eating whole30. Join us! This is something I have had on my brain for about 8 years now. To go one whole year eating healthy. I can only imagine how my body will feel, how well I will sleep and how productive I will be. I like what this will do for me during, i also like what it could do for me in the future. Talk about resetting psychological triggers to bad food and hormonal imbalances, let alone healing the gut and reducing inflammation. Is it possible this could also add a couple more vibrant positive years to the end of my life. Who knows, but the potential upside is too great not to give it a shot. 

Details about the whole30 program are here. We will be having a nutrition seminar on December 19th to set this up for anyone interested in doing Whole30, 60, 90, 180, 365. We will start on January 1st and end at midnight on Dec 31st, 2014. 

2014 Barbell and Olympic Lifting Club

We are excited to announce a new program here at the Forest: The Barbell and Olympic Lifting Club. This is great for those that want to target certain weaknesses in your CrossFit development. 

Barbell Club will meet on M, W, F
Olympic Lifting Club will meet on Tues, Sat 

Times - 11am and 6pm. Saturday at 9:30am. These times may change.

Available and Free for current level 2 athletes. Ideally you will join us at the beginning of an 8, 12 or 16 week cycle, especially if you are new to these movements, but you can join any time. Barbell club will be about getting stronger with squats, deadlifts, bench, press, weighted dips/pull-ups etc. Olympic Lifting Club will be about getting more skilled at the olympic lifts: Clean, Jerk and Snatch. It will be programmed with the idea that you could do both BB and Oly club at the same time or one independently. We will also program the week such that you could join CrossFit as well. It is really up to you. The 6pm class will have a dedicated coach. The 11am will be a "Train with the Trainers" class time. We may offer a 6am class "Train with the Trainers", let us know if you would be interested in this class. 

2014 Training Camp 

We brought Training Camp back as the way new people join our gym. All of your friends and family get access to the $125 rate. We feel that building a gym with your friends and family is the best place for us all to be. If they are friends of yours then they will be great friends of ours. For the public its $125 when you sign up with a friend, or $225 when you sign up as an individual (includes a free T-Shirt at completion)

Training Camp is a month long course designed to teach and familiarize you with the movements used in the group class, introduce you to workouts of increasing intensity and difficulty, start you on the path toward nutrition that will support fitness and health, and get you to the point where you are ready to join the group classes.

We start a new Training Camp on the first Monday of every month. Class is at 7pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting in January.

2014 Inter-gym Competition with CrossFit Upgrade

The owner of CrossFit Upgrade and I started CrossFitting over 5 years ago at 24hour fitness. We thought it would be fun to have an inter-gym competition every few months and trade off which gyms we hold it at. After the competition there will be a big ol bbq. The first one will be at CrossFit Upgrade on January 25th. We will have multiple divisions of the workouts so all can participate. There will be a feats of strength test and at least one if not 2 other crossfit style workouts.
